Quick Settings on the camera screen, a round picture-in-picture, and the first part of a new look.

• Nuevo Quick Settings: tap Settings in the new bottom bar to change resolution, frame rate, the front camera view and stabilization, right on the camera screen.
• Nuevo Round picture-in-picture: your small picture can now be a circle, not only a rectangle. Open Layout, tap Circle and try it: it gives your videos a fresh new look.
• Nuevo A new look, part one: a cleaner design, new controls at the bottom of the screen, and Settings grouped into Camera, Recording, Audio and General. The next version continues the redesign.
• Mejorado Leave the app while you record and the recording pauses. Come back soon and it resumes by itself; stay away longer and SplitRig saves the whole recording for you.
• Nuevo Safe Zone Guide: corner marks show where TikTok, Reels and Shorts put their buttons over your video. Turn it on in Settings → More Settings → General.
• Mejorado A sign at the top of the screen tells you when a recording has no sound, and when the microphone is back.
• Mejorado The share card after a recording can be turned off, and the Share Card After Recording switch (Settings → More Settings → Recording) brings it back. Widgets follow the measurement system of your iPhone.
• Arreglado A phone call no longer makes the camera glitch or restart, and a call during a recording keeps the video going when the camera can keep running.
• Arreglado Recordings that could have no sound, or sound that started late, plus fixes for lens switching, landscape recordings and launch.

A new Camera Settings menu with 4K rear recording, an exposure slider, a 16:9 front option, and Auto Pause.

• Nuevo Camera Settings menu: choose the resolution and frame rate for each camera, saved per mode. You can now record the rear camera in 4K for sharper video.
• Nuevo Front camera aspect choice: keep the classic wide view, or switch to a steadier 16:9 frame.
• Nuevo Tap to focus now has an exposure slider: after you tap, drag the sun to brighten or darken your shot. Double-tap the focus box to dismiss it and let the camera focus freely again.
• Nuevo Auto Pause: if you step away from the app mid-recording, SplitRig pauses the cameras to save battery and picks up again when you return, without ending your recording.
• Mejorado Action Cam handles longer shoots better, and long recordings run more smoothly.
• Mejorado See-through controls: the buttons over your preview are now translucent, so more of your shot shows. Your recordings also carry proper date and location metadata, so your Library stays organized.
• Arreglado A wave of focus, audio, and recording fixes: reliable tap-to-focus while recording, self-recovering autofocus, smoother lens switching, corrected audio drift on long recordings, and every layout that should record sound now does, including single-camera front.

A built-in Teleprompter, a photo backdrop for Face Mode, and steadier focus.

• Nuevo Teleprompter: read your script while you record. A new overlay scrolls over your preview at your own pace, visible only to you, never in the saved video or a screenshot. Find it in the widget tray.
• Nuevo Face Mode Backdrop: in Face Mode, swap out what is behind you with any photo from your library.
• Mejorado Steadier autofocus and tap-to-focus, plus a more accurate speedometer for speed and altitude, especially right after a stop, a turn, or when GPS is briefly weak.

Tap to focus and hold to lock, save your favorite overlays as a set, and free up storage from the Library.

• Nuevo Tap to focus, hold to lock: tap anywhere in the preview to focus right where you want, and press and hold to lock focus and exposure on that spot, just like the native camera.
• Nuevo My Widgets: save your favorite overlay widgets as a set and bring them all back with a single tap.
• Nuevo Free Up Space: clear recordings you have already saved to Photos and reclaim storage on your iPhone, right from your Library.
• Arreglado Clearer recordings: the start and stop sounds and the confirmation haptic no longer bleed into your recorded audio.
• Mejorado Large text sizes: setup screens now scroll, so every button stays reachable at the largest text settings.
• Mejorado A smoother Library and speedometer, a faster launch, friendlier shared file names, and a number of smaller fixes.

Fixes the black camera preview that could appear with grid lines on.

• Arreglado Camera preview now appears reliably every time, including with the grid overlay turned on.
• Mejorado Internal diagnostics improvements to help resolve issues faster.

Never lose a clip: automatic recovery, a new Library, and one-tap stop.

• Nuevo Automatic recovery: if a recording is interrupted, your clip is recovered and waiting in your Library when you reopen SplitRig.
• Nuevo New Library: browse all your recordings from the bottom-left of the camera screen, replay full-screen, and save to Photos.
• Mejorado Simpler stop: a single tap stops recording by default. When your activity is set to cycling or driving, SplitRig switches to hold-to-stop so handlebar or dashboard vibration cannot cancel a recording.
• Arreglado Camera preview now appears reliably when you reopen the app.

Stability hotfix: crash fixes, a steadier speedometer, plus Smart Pause and split-tile reframe.

• Arreglado Fixed a launch crash on iPhone 14 Pro and similar A16 devices on iOS 26.4.2.
• Arreglado Speedometer now reliably recovers after relaunch when you grant location with "Allow Once".
• Arreglado Speedometer no longer flickers between 0 km/h and a blank reading while standing still.
• Mejorado Improved stability on iPhone 11, 12, 13, and 14 during long recordings.
• Nuevo Split Screen tile reframe: pinch each half to switch between Fit and Fill, drag to pan.
• Nuevo Smart Pause: recording pauses when you leave the app and picks up again by itself when you come back soon.
• Mejorado Hold-to-stop survives motion: finger jitter on a handlebar mount no longer cancels the stop.
