A new Camera Settings menu with 4K rear recording, an exposure slider, a 16:9 front option, and Auto Pause.

• Nouveau Camera Settings menu: choose the resolution and frame rate for each camera, saved per mode. You can now record the rear camera in 4K for sharper video.
• Nouveau Front camera aspect choice: keep the classic wide view, or switch to a steadier 16:9 frame.
• Nouveau Tap to focus now has an exposure slider: after you tap, drag the sun to brighten or darken your shot. Double-tap the focus box to dismiss it and let the camera focus freely again.
• Nouveau Auto Pause: if you step away from the app mid-recording, SplitRig pauses the cameras to save battery and picks up again when you return, without ending your recording.
• Amélioré Action Cam runs cooler on longer shoots, and if your iPhone still gets very hot, SplitRig gently lowers the frame rate instead of letting iOS stop your recording, so you keep recording.
• Amélioré See-through controls: the buttons over your preview are now translucent, so more of your shot shows. Your recordings also carry proper date and location metadata, so your Library stays organized.
• Corrigé A wave of focus, audio, and heat fixes: reliable tap-to-focus while recording, self-recovering autofocus, smoother lens switching, corrected audio drift on long recordings, and every layout that should record sound now does, including single-camera front.

A built-in Teleprompter, a photo backdrop for Face Mode, and steadier focus.

• Nouveau Teleprompter: read your script while you record. A new overlay scrolls over your preview at your own pace, visible only to you, never in the saved video or a screenshot. Find it in the widget tray.
• Nouveau Face Mode Backdrop: in Face Mode, swap out what is behind you with any photo from your library.
• Amélioré Steadier autofocus and tap-to-focus, plus a more accurate speedometer for speed and altitude, especially right after a stop, a turn, or when GPS is briefly weak.

Tap to focus and hold to lock, save your favorite overlays as a set, and free up storage from the Library.

• Nouveau Tap to focus, hold to lock: tap anywhere in the preview to focus right where you want, and press and hold to lock focus and exposure on that spot, just like the native camera.
• Nouveau My Widgets: save your favorite overlay widgets as a set and bring them all back with a single tap.
• Nouveau Free Up Space: clear recordings you have already saved to Photos and reclaim storage on your iPhone, right from your Library.
• Corrigé Clearer recordings: the start and stop sounds and the confirmation haptic no longer bleed into your recorded audio.
• Amélioré Large text sizes: setup screens now scroll, so every button stays reachable at the largest text settings.
• Amélioré A smoother Library and speedometer, a faster launch, friendlier shared file names, and a number of smaller fixes.

Fixes the black camera preview that could appear with grid lines on.

• Corrigé Camera preview now appears reliably every time, including with the grid overlay turned on.
• Amélioré Internal diagnostics improvements to help resolve issues faster.

Never lose a clip: automatic recovery, a new Library, and one-tap stop.

• Nouveau Automatic recovery: if a recording is interrupted, your clip is recovered and waiting in your Library when you reopen SplitRig.
• Nouveau New Library: browse all your recordings from the bottom-left of the camera screen, replay full-screen, and save to Photos.
• Amélioré Simpler stop: a single tap stops recording by default. When your activity is set to cycling or driving, SplitRig switches to hold-to-stop so handlebar or dashboard vibration cannot cancel a recording.
• Corrigé Camera preview now appears reliably when you reopen the app.

Stability hotfix: crash fixes, a steadier speedometer, plus Smart Pause and split-tile reframe.

• Corrigé Fixed a launch crash on iPhone 14 Pro and similar A16 devices on iOS 26.4.2.
• Corrigé Speedometer now reliably recovers after relaunch when you grant location with "Allow Once".
• Corrigé Speedometer no longer flickers between 0 km/h and a blank reading while standing still.
• Amélioré Improved stability on iPhone 11, 12, 13, and 14 during long recordings.
• Nouveau Split Screen tile reframe: pinch each half to switch between Fit and Fill, drag to pan.

• Amélioré Hold-to-stop survives motion: finger jitter on a handlebar mount no longer cancels the stop.

Polish, performance, and AirPods stem control on iOS 26.

• Nouveau AirPods Camera Remote support: stem press starts and stops recording on iOS 26 with H2-chip AirPods (Pro 2, Pro 3, AirPods 4).
• Amélioré Iron Stream thermal management: frame rate now scales down gracefully when the iPhone gets warm, instead of stopping the recording.
• Amélioré Apple Watch companion latency reduced for layout swaps and zoom adjustments.
• Corrigé Picture-in-Picture size now correctly remembered across sessions.
• Corrigé Edge case where Face Mode segmentation could flicker on extreme low-light scenes.
